As a PM, I can control global project performance

Project managers, or any other management role (PMA, PMO, PfM, PgM), can control global project performance at CONTROL > Health Checks, using the web application and the mobile application:

Project global status can be summarized in 4 separate sections:

  • Global Status: Global status for the project itself (work package #0) or any decomposing project work package, as of the selected status date.
  • Scope: Scope status for the project itself (work package #0) or any decomposing project work package, as of the selected status date.
  • Schedule: Schedule status for the project itself (work package #0) or any decomposing project work package, as of the selected status date.
  • Cost: Cost status for the project itself (work package #0) or any decomposing project work package, as of the selected status date.

The Global Status section includes a traffic light dial. Green means “on-track”; amber means “action required to get back on-track”; red means “off-plan”. Select dial number below 35% to set a red traffic light; between 35-65% to set an amber traffic light; and above 65% to set a green traffic light. You can also write down a short text for a summary of the global status, risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies summaries.

Use the button [Copy Previous] to copy data from the most recent status report.

Scope section includes a qualitative traffic light, work percent complete and a short explanation by the project manager about scope management status:

The schedule section includes a qualitative traffic light, percent of duration spent and a short explanation by the project manager about schedule management status. Percent of duration spent is automatically calculated for work package #0 if the project is decomposed into work packages:

The cost section includes a qualitative traffic light, percent of budget spent and a short explanation by the project manager about cost management status. Percent of budget spent is automatically calculated for work package #0 if the project is decomposed into work packages:

These data can be visualized as dashboards at section More… > REPORTS > GLOBAL PERFORMANCE.
