As a PM, RQ, I can update the stakeholder register
Stakeholder Register includes the identification, assessment, and classification of project Stakeholders. Project Manager (PM), also PMO, PMA, PfM and PgM, and Requester (RQ) can manage stakeholder list at INITIATION > Stakeholder Register. Click “Plus” icon [+] to add a new stakeholder. Click “Delete” icon [🗑️] to remove a stakeholder from the list:

Data can be edited or read only depending on the role:

- Stakeholder Name.
- PMPeople User: PMPeople user who is assigned as a project stakeholder. Click [+ Invite] button if not selectable in the dropdown list.
- Organizational Position.
- Priority: Stakeholder list is sorted from higher (1) to lower priority.
- Notes: Notes on this stakeholder.
- Location and contact details.
- Role on the project: Description of the stakeholder role in this project.
- Major requirements: Description of the stakeholder’s main requirements and expectations about the project.
- Level of authority (power): Description of the stakeholder’s power, that is, his or her authority on the project.
- Level of concern about the project’s outcomes (interest): Description of the stakeholder’s interest, that is, his or her concern about the project’s outcomes.
- Ability to influence the outcomes of the project (influence): Description of the stakeholder’s influence, that is, his or her ability to influence the outcomes of the project.
- Ability to cause changes to the project’s planning or execution: Description of the stakeholder’s ability to cause changes to the project’s planning or execution.
- Need for immediate attention (urgency): Description of the stakeholder’s need for immediate attention (urgency) about the project.

Direction of influence: Classifies stakeholders according to their influence on the work of the project or the project team itself. Stakeholders can be classified in the following ways:
- Upward: senior management of the performing organization or customer organization, sponsor, and steering committee.
- Downward: the team or specialists contributing knowledge or skills in a temporary capacity.
- Outward: stakeholder groups and their representatives outside the project team, such as suppliers, government departments, the public, end-users, and regulators.
- Sideward: the peers of the project manager, such as other project managers or middle managers who are in competition for scarce project resources or who collaborate with the project manager in sharing resources or information.
- Engagement status: The engagement level of stakeholders can be classified as follows:
- Unaware: Unaware of the project and potential impacts.
- Resistant: Aware of the project and potential impacts but resistant to any changes that may occur as a result of the work or outcomes of the project. These stakeholders will be unsupportive of the work or outcomes of the project.
- Neutral: Aware of the project, but neither supportive nor unsupportive.
- Supportive: Aware of the project and potential impacts and supportive of the work and its outcomes.
- Leading: Aware of the project and potential impacts and actively engaged in ensuring that the project is a success.
Project Managers (PM) can access stakeholder register data with the mobile application. Once they have entered any organization (for instance, PMPeople), they need to select the role Project Manager, then the project and finally, hit the menu option Initiation > Stakeholder Register:
