As a PM, I can update control data from microsoft project
Project managers, or any other management role (PMA, PMO, PfM, PgM), can import schedule and cost tracking data from Microsoft Project®—other scheduling tools like SmartSheet, Primavera, ProjectLibre, etc., can export data as this XML format. If you use some of these tools for performance tracking, you don’t need to repeat the same process in PMPeople.

Alert for Update can be seen at CONTROL > Control Scope, Control Schedule, and Control Cost.
Find an XML file with the pencil icon.

Let’s assume you have updated tracking data in Microsoft Project® and you have saved the file as XML. Clicking the button [Update] will follow this uploading process:

- Only project summary task and tasks and milestones with field Priority=1 and same name as one work package.
- Planned Work, Actual Work and %Work Complete values will update fields at CONTROL > Control Scope. If the work package has approved time sheets: Actual Work and Work will be ignored, %Work Complete will be loaded, and Planned Work will be calculated as Actual Work/%Work Complete. If the work package does not have any approved time sheets: Work will be ignored, Actual Work and %Work Complete will be loaded, and Planned Work will be calculated as Actual Work/%Work Complete.
- Start, Finish, and %Complete values will update fields at CONTROL > Control Schedule.
- Planned Cost, and Actual Cost values will update fields at CONTROL > Control Cost. %Cost Complete will be calculated as Actual Cost/Planned Cost.
