As a PM, I can plan work packages

A project work package is the lowest level of the project work breakdown structure. Project scope is divided into work packages to estimate and manage cost and duration.

Project Managers (PM) and other managers (PMA, PMO, PfM, PgM), can plan work packages at PLAN > Plan Scope > Plan Work Packages:

In PMPeople, the term work package #0 refers to the project itself. Click the “plus” icon [+] to break the project down into detailed work packages. Click the icon “Downward Arrow” to open an existing work package. Work packages can be deleted with the “Delete” button.

Work packages can be specified entering the following data:

  • Name: The name assigned to the work package.
  • Description: Work package description.
  • Baseline Work (h): Scheduled effort hours for this work package. If there are detailed work packages, then work package #0 value is automatically calculated.

Project Managers (PM) can read work package details with the mobile application. Once they have entered any organization (for instance, DEMO PMPeople), they need to select the role Project Manager, then the project and finally, hit the menu option Plan > Plan Scope:
