As a PM, I can plan work packages
A project work package is the lowest level of the project work breakdown structure. Project scope is divided into work packages to estimate and manage cost and duration.
Project Managers (PM) and other managers (PMA, PMO, PfM, PgM), can plan work packages at PLAN > Plan Scope > Plan Work Packages:

In PMPeople, the term work package #0 refers to the project itself. Click the “plus” icon [+] to break the project down into detailed work packages. Click the icon “Downward Arrow” to open an existing work package. Work packages can be deleted with the “Delete” button.
Work packages can be specified entering the following data:

- Name: The name assigned to the work package.
- Description: Work package description.
- Baseline Work (h): Scheduled effort hours for this work package. If there are detailed work packages, then work package #0 value is automatically calculated.
Project Managers (PM) can read work package details with the mobile application. Once they have entered any organization (for instance, DEMO PMPeople), they need to select the role Project Manager, then the project and finally, hit the menu option Plan > Plan Scope:


Project Managers (PM) and other managers (PMA, PMO, PfM, PgM), can plan the project deliverables according to the Work Packages at PLAN > Plan Work Package > select a work package and click the “Add Deliverable” button to add a new deliverable for this work package:

Deliverables can be specified entering the following data:

Name: The name assigned to the requirement.

Description: Requirement description.
- Add Documentation Link: Supporting documents can be referenced as web links. Click the link to open the web page in a different browser tab.
Click the “downward” icon to open an existing requirement. Requirements can be deleted with the “Delete” button.
Project Managers (PM) and other managers (PMA, PMO, PfM, PgM), can assign the Work Packages at PLAN > Plan Work Package > select a work package and extend Team Members and click the “Assign Team Members” button to add a team member **** for this work package:

Project Managers (PM) and other managers (PMA, PMO, PfM, PgM), can assign the Work Packages to Team Members by copying resources from another Work Package by clicking on the “ Copy Resources” button.

Team Members can be specified entering the following data:

- Baseline Start: Committed date for this team member to start working on this work package.
- Baseline Finish: Committed date for this team member to finish working on this work package.
- Baseline Work (h): Committed effort hours for this team member on this work package.
- Hourly Cost Rate: Internal fix cost per hour for this team member. This cost does not depend on the project which team member is assigned to. This cost is normally fixed during the year, although it can be changed by the Resource Manager (RM) or the PMO, if a team member is promoted, for instance.
- Hourly Sell Rate: Selling rate for the team member assignment. This should be higher than the cost rate. The same team member could have different selling rates in different projects, or even for different work packages at the same project.

Click the “downward” icon to open an existing Team Member. Team members can be deleted with the “Delete” button.
Project Managers (PM) and other managers (PMA, PMO, PfM, PgM), can plan tasks according to the Work Packages at PLAN > Plan Work Package > select a work package and extend Tasks and click the “Add Task” button to add a new Task for this work package:

Tasks details can be opened by clicking the task name. Once opened, click the “Delete” button to delete the task. Here you can also edit task fields:

- Task Name.
- Start Date: Scheduled date to start this task.
- Due Date: Scheduled date to finish this task.
- Link: Web link associated with the task. Use it to link reference documents.

Description : Description of the task.
This task can be assigned to Team Members by clicking on the ‘Assign’ button at PLAN-> Plan Work Packages-> Select a Work Package-> Extend Tasks and select a task-> Extend ‘Assign Team Members to this Task’.

Team Member details can be opened by clicking the Team Member name. Once opened, click the “Delete” button to delete the Team Member.
